Guest notes usually rely on browser storage. This means the text is saved inside the browser on the same device. It is fast and convenient, but it is also tied to that browser profile.

When browser storage is enough

Browser storage is enough for temporary drafts, quick lists and text you only need on one device. It is not ideal for long-term archives or important work that must survive device changes.

When to export or sync

Export a TXT or JSON copy when a note matters. Create an account when you need access from multiple devices. Clearing browser data can remove guest notes, so backups are important.
